New Wildfire Trucks in Colorado

Colorado – The Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control will unveil their newest fire engines on Thursday, July 13th in Denver, Colorado.  Equipped with a 600-gallon water tank and 500-gallon-per-minute pump, four-wheel drive, and the ability to seat 4 firefighters, these new engines are one of many tools that DFPC can deploy to help agencies battle wildfires in Colorado. “Type 3” fire engines are commonly referred to as the largest, most rugged, and powerful of the wild land fire engine types. These engines provide a significant upgrade to the state’s firefighting capability.
